The God We Need

Garth Brooks made famous a song about thanking God for unanswered prayers. That hit gets to the heart of this week’s message from Maplewood. Community Pastor Ed Klett explores the reality that Jesus often disappointed people because he didn’t show up as the God they wanted. Instead, He showed up to be the God we need.

Insider Information

Trading insider information on the stock market is illegal. But when it comes to understanding Scripture, the Holy Spirit gives followers of Jesus this “insider” ability to understand what the Bible is trying to say. Recent messages

We’re sorry for the lack of content over the past several weeks. Our lead pastor has been out on medical leave and has not been able to post. However, below are not one, but two recent messages from Maplewood that we wanted to make sure we publish online.

From June 25, 2023: Pastor Ed Klett preached a great message on Remembering Jesus

The Whole Bottle

It’s Pentecost Sunday–the birthday of the church of Jesus Christ! This week, we are celebrating both Pentecost and Memorial Day Weekend by focusing on what it means to receive God’s full measure of His Holy Spirit to help us become the people we were intended to be. Don’t mess around with a dab of His presence when the whole bottle is available. Enjoy this week’s message from Maplewood’s Community Pastor, Ed Klett.
