Food Truck Tuesday: July 27 (EVENT CANCELED)

Event cancelled. We apologize for the late notice. Our vendor this week had to cancel due to a death in the family. We offer our thoughts and prayers up

Maplewood welcomes Rolling Oasis back to 110 Lawnview Avenue in Springfield from 3 to 6pm this Tuesday (weather permitting). Food Truck Tuesday has become a wonderful opportunity to get some good food, connect and support our local businesses.

“This is all about creating positive connections coming off a very hard year,” said Pastor Joe, one of the co-pastor’s at Maplewood. “Breaking bread with a neighbor or an old friend is an incredibly powerful way to feed our bellies and our souls.”

The event is not a fundraiser. It’s a simple way to support our community.

Whole and Holy: Sabbath is a Choice

Maplewood has been spending the summer exploring the importance of addressing mental health challenges–in the lives of those around us and in our own lives. This week, Pastor Joe explores one of the secrets to finding wholeness and holiness in our lives–the concept of Sabbath. Join us as we explore the words of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the Sabbath, on what it takes to enjoy the benefits of Sabbath rest.

Food Truck Tuesday: July 13

Who doesn’t love “fair food?” Who doesn’t love pizza? On Tuesday, July 13 from 3 to 6pm (weather permitting), Maplewood welcomes Chester’s Food Concessions and Lazy Baker Pizza Maker to 110 Lawnview Avenue in Springfield.

“Everyone is invited to come out and support our local food trucks,” said Maplewood pastor Vicki Case. “We’ll have a fun activity for the kids while you wait for your order to be served.”

Maplewood has been hosting food trucks all summer long on Tuesday afternoons and will continue to do so in an effort to create connection and community.

The event is not a fund raiser for the church, but simply a way Maplewood can support our local food vendors.

Food Truck Tuesday: July 6

Coming this Tuesday, it will be raining tacos and comfort food at Maplewood. We welcome back Taco Mania and introduce Griddles and Cheese from 3 to 6pm at 110 Lawnview Avenue in Springfield (weather permitting).

“We’re here to support our local food truck operators and to create some connection in our neighborhood and community,” said Pastor Joe at Maplewood. “This isn’t a fund raise for our church. Simply and opportunity to get together, enjoy good food and good company.”

The 99, the One and the Prodigal Son

This week at Maplewood, Pastor Ed Klett is brining a timely message as we continue to consider what it means to be “shepherds of our flocks” as followers of Jesus. And bonus material this week, a moving testimony from one of our Maplewood family members who has been walking through quite a bit of adversity in recent days. Remember Paul and his son PJ in your prayers….

Whole and Holy: All In

What’s the secret to wholeness and holiness? We have the answer! As we continue to explore the importance of mental health in ministering to our community, this week Pastor Joe double-clicks on Jesus’ command for us to go “all in” with him in order to become whole and holy.
