Breaking Free Through Forgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the keys to breaking free from our self-centered culture and entering into new life with Jesus. This week, Pastor Joe talks about the impact of forgiveness in the life of Saint Peter, whose spiritual ups and downs demonstrate God’s desire to help us break free into life full of peace, power and joy.

Breaking Free From Our Pride

This week at Maplewood, Pastor Joe focused on one of the main things that holds us back from breaking free from our “me first” culture. Our study is rooted in the words of Jesus in Matthew 7. Join us as we focus on the concept of “intentional humility.”

Breaking Free-Words Matter

That old saying about “sticks and stones” is fake news. In reality, our words we speak matter very much, regardless of your station in life. This week at Maplewood, Pastor Joe again is exploring the implications of Ephesians 4 on how the words we say impact our ability to break free and become the people Jesus calls us to be. These words matter to all people who are striving for a deeper relationship with Christ.

Breaking Free From Anger

Does anger get the best of you? Part of what it means to be a follower of Jesus is to learn how to break free from our anger so that we can become the person God intended for you to really be. In a very relatable presentation, Pastor Joe explores Ephesians 4 and how it helps understand how we can break free from anger and grow up in our faith walk with Jesus.

Breaking Free-Personal Accountability

The first step to breaking free from our modern culture to follow Jesus is to become personally accountable. This week, Maplewood continues our series called “Breaking Free.” Pastor Joe focuses on what personal accountability looks like in our lives, helping us see it as the antidote we so desperately need to find life more abundant.

Breaking Out 5-12-2019

Our society is fascinated with the concept of escaping or breaking out. This week, Maplewood begins a new series focused on how to help each of us break out of our modern culture so that we can become the people Christ has called us to be. Pastor Joe kicks off this new series with a study of Act 2:38-40. Click, listen and grow….

The Rest of the Story

On the Sunday following Easter, Maplewood is focusing on the rest of the Easter Story. Pastor Joe explores “what happens next” as Jesus joins his disciples for dinner on the evening of Easter Sunday. And what happens next…..well you’ll have to listen in to hear the rest of the story. It’s not what you think…

Jesus Christ-Just What We Need

God knows just what we need. In Christ, God provides exactly what our hearts desire and what our soul needs. This week, Pastor Joe continues to prepare Maplewood for Easter, examining the overarching narrative of the Scripture to uncover the story of how God meets our deepest need through His one and only Son. This week we focus on the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22.

That We May Believe

The Bible contains echos of life from death and hope for all. This week at Maplewood, we’re focusing on Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37 and its connection to the story of Lazarus in John 11. As we prepare for Easter, we find that Jesus is master over life (and death) and that should help us believe and bring a great hope into our lives.
