Even though Mother Nature impacted our ability to get together again this week at Maplewood, we wanted to share a few thoughts to encourage and challenge you this week from God’s Word. Why does an all powerful and all knowing God choose to partner with human beings to build His kingdom? Pastor Joe takes a stab at the answer by reflecting on Isaiah 62:1-5.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus had to be baptized? John the Baptist did. And he even asked Jesus for an answer–straight up. This week’s Maplewood podcast is our “blizzard bag” edition. Winter weather canceled our weekly service, but Pastor Joe offers up some thoughts about Matthew 3 and the implications on the sacrament of baptism and our personal obedience to Jesus Christ.

Next Gen Beach Party–Postponed until January 20 due to weather!!!

The Beach Party has been postponed until next Sunday, January 20th, due to the winter weather’s impact on our activities this week.

Maplewood “Next Gen” is turning up the heat next Sunday night, January 20th 13, 2018 for our Winter BEACH PARTY!!! Attenders can wear beach-y play clothes (shorts, summer shirts, etc….no bathing suits, please.) to church that evening .
Parents: Be sure to have your kiddos wear coats and warmies over their beach outfit till they arrive😉!
We’ll have fun, beach-y food and games from 5:15-6:15 followed by our Bible lesson and classtime from 6:15-7. Everything wraps up at 7pm like always!!

The Anticipation of Hope
